Common Wealth

Privacy Policy

Last updated 9 October 2026

Darkwood Entertainment Pty Ltd (ABN 79 664 482 017) (“we”, “us”) runs this website for the feature documentary COMMON WEALTH. This policy explains what personal information is collected when you visit the site or buy the film, and how it’s handled.

Visiting this site

You can browse this site without creating an account or giving us any personal details. There are no sign-up or payment forms on this site itself.

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. This is used to keep the site running and secure.

The trailer is shown in a Vimeo player. When it loads, Vimeo may set cookies and collect information about your device and viewing under Vimeo’s Privacy Policy.

Buying the film

Checkout happens on Vimeo OTT, not on this site, and is covered by the Privacy Policy on our Vimeo OTT store. Vimeo collects the details needed to process your purchase and give you access, such as your name, email address and payment details. Your card details are handled by Vimeo and its payment processors and are never shared with us.

Vimeo shares some customer information with us, such as your name, email address and what you purchased, so we can understand our audience. For help with a purchase or your viewing account, visit the Vimeo OTT help centre.

Contacting us

If you email us, we’ll receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and use them to reply.

Mailing list

If you sign up for updates, we collect your email address and country and store them with Kit, our email provider. We use them only to send news about the film, such as when it becomes available where you live. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

How we use your information

We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with services that help us run the site and sell the film (such as Vimeo, Kit and our hosting provider), or where the law requires it.

Information stored overseas

Vimeo, Kit and some of our other service providers store information outside Australia, including in the United States.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing ciao@darkwoodentertainment.com. For information held by Vimeo, such as your payment details and viewing account, contact Vimeo through the Vimeo OTT help centre. If you have a privacy complaint, contact us first and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold and keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.

Children

This site isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
